Eating at chain restaurants, Kian style
I go out to eat by myself a lot. I do it so often that I've been told to chill out before by my inner buyer's remorse and my family. I've learned what I really like from a lot of fast food places and what I really don't! Here's some of my choice picks from choice restaurants.
Wendy's
I get the Biggie Bag $5 combo, with the Bacon Double Stack burger. I remove the pickles (fuck pickles) and add lettuce and tomatoes, essentially making it the now discontinued Giant Junior Bacon Cheeseburger (with the ketchup and mustard from the Double Stack). I get spicy nuggets, with Sweet and Sour and S'awesome dipping cups. I squeeze the S'awesome cup directly onto the burger, basically making it a cheaper, smaller, S'awesome burger. I get a LOT of bang for my buck with this combo, honestly. I'm always satisfied.
Domino's
2 or more for $5.99 coupon ALWAYS. I get a medium pepperoni and pineapple pizza. Yeah, I like pineapple. Sue me. Sometimes I pay the extra dollar to make it a pan pizza. Delicious stuff. If they got the 50% everything coupon, I tend to get an extra large Brooklyn style instead.
Steak n' Shake
I really like the Western BBQ and Bacon (I think that's what they call it) burger. I ask for my fries to be covered in Parmesan herbs. Pretty good stuff.
KFC
$5 Tenders combo. Mac and cheese instead of mashed potatoes. Finger Lickin' Good sauce.
Slim Chickens
Does anyone have these around them? I get the $8.50 Slim's basket with Slim Sauce and some BBQ. Fries for the side. It's delicious.
Taco Bell
Two Beefy Fritos burritos. That's it. It's two fucking dollars. Maybe a Baja Blast.
Burger King
Honestly? The Impossible Whopper is better than the actual Whopper. But it's expensive. I still end up getting it irregardless. I also can't say no to ten nuggets for $1.50.
Rapid Fired Pizza
Pepperoni, chicken, ham, pineapple, bacon. Drizzle it in sweet habanero sauce. Thin or pan crust, it doesn't matter. It's 8 dollars.
McDonald's
Quarter pounder. Or McNuggets. I don't care. It's awfully expensive to eat McDonald's nowadays, though...
Little Caesars'
ExtraMostBestest pizzas really prove how much of a joke the regular $5 pizzas are.
Subway
Meatball subs are the only thing worth a damn there.
Dairy Queen
During high school, sometimes I decided to go chill out at Dairy Queen afterwards. I always loved getting the $5 chicken tender lunch combo, substituting the Sunday for a large cookie dough Blizzard. Pretty good value even for $8.21 or whatever it was.
Chik-Fil-A
Haven't really had a use for them since I found out that Walmart and Kroger's sell sauces that taste exactly like Chik-Fil-A Sauce. You may have saw that Kroger sauce review I made on YouTube. I unlisted it. I look back on a lot of my videos with regret. Also, Chik-Fil-A is homophobic still. Might be the first time I actually take a stance on something.
